08 Jul AMOURICE to bypass the July Meeting
Following her last race, AMOURICE was flagged up to undertake a stalls test which we had hoped to have completed so that she could run in a fillies maiden at Newmarket on Saturday 15th July.
Our Trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam has reported that the stalls testing process is progressing gradually – originally it had been hoped to take AMOURICE to Yarmouth Racecourse for testing on Thursday but this was too soon (and a violent thunderstorm with massive hail stones confirmed it had been a good decision not to take the filly) and it had been provisionally scheduled to use Newmarket Racecourse next week, provided she had progressed satisfactorily in the unofficial testing by the stable staff on the Newmarket gallops/stalls.
However, with the big July Meeting just around the corner, it has been decided to wait. AMOURICE is a nice filly and it is vital to get her totally relaxed and happy about the loading process before she is tested by the Steward, so Jane will continue through next week with more efforts to get the filly to be happy throughout the whole process.
